   You sketch a copy onto a scrap of leather. The route markings reference real landmarks - whoever drew this knows the terrain. Whether the supplies are real or not, the map itself is a useful navigation reference. A trader notices your copy and offers to buy it.

   You're halfway through copying when someone else pulls the original off the board and walks away with it. You're left with an incomplete sketch and a strong feeling of missed opportunity.

   Tear it down. Unmarked supply locations on public notice boards are either traps or bait for competition you don't need.

   The paper is machine-pressed - pre-war stock, probably from a supply cache. The ink is a homemade carbon suspension, and the penmanship is meticulous. This was drawn by someone educated, with access to old materials. Not a scavenger's scrawl - this is an academic's hand. Whoever posted this wants people to find that location, and they want the right kind of people.

   You analyze the paper and ink but the conclusions are contradictory - the paper is old but the ink is fresh, the handwriting is educated but the map conventions are wrong. You can't build a coherent profile. Whoever made this is either careless or deliberately obscuring their identity.
