description	Heartwood from a desert ironwood, dense enough to sink in water and blunt the saw that cut it. Takes a shock load without splitting, which is why every tool handle worth keeping starts as a length of this.	High-density timber harvested from Desert Ironwood or produced by delignifying softer stock with caustic chemicals and hot-pressing it. Resists rot, termites and splitting under load.
