2. Entry 2

   Settlers near the old missile testing grounds know the swarm avoids running water. They build their privies over irrigation ditches and sleep with the windows facing the canal. The ones who built on dry land aren't around to share advice.

3. Entry 3

   Techno-shaman recordings preserve a swarm's tonal pattern slowed to one-tenth speed. The sound resembles a human voice counting. The count never reaches a number above thirteen. It always begins at four.
