   Mass-disposal site for consumer electronics, predominantly cassette-era audio and telecommunications hardware. Capacitor leakage and substrate corrosion render most units inert, though Institute recovery teams occasionally salvage intact ferrite cores and shielded copper.

2. Entry 2

   Techno-shamans buy electronics salvage by weight without inspecting it. When asked why, one said the piles already know what's inside them, and the buyer's job is to be the next thing that holds it.

3. Entry 3

   A field tech reported a transistor radio pulled intact from a pile outside Prosperity. No power source, no battery contacts - just clean tone, in a band that hasn't been broadcast on since before the collapse. The signal stopped when she carried it past the city wall.
