1. Entry 1

   Field measurements show local time dilation of plus or minus four seconds within a two-meter radius. The figure casts no consistent shadow. Photographs taken in burst show eleven of the same instant before any motion is recorded. The subject is biologically alive.

2. Entry 2

   A trader on the I-25 route claims she met the same echo three times. Each time it was younger. The third time it was a child who didn't recognize her, but who carried a photograph of her face in its pocket.

3. Entry 3

   A scavenger's journal recovered near Truth or Consequences ends mid-entry: "Met one today. It handed me this notebook and said I'd dropped it. The handwriting is mine. I haven't started writing in it yet."
