Wren looks up as you approach, her green eyes immediately focusing on what you're carrying.

Back already? Did you find something?

Her eyes widen.

You did? Let me see.

She takes it carefully, examining the pages with growing excitement.

This is... yes. This is exactly what I've been looking for. The language, the diagrams - this matches the fragments others have brought me.

Thank you. Really. This could be the key to understanding where these CELLs came from.

Wren glances up from her notes.

That journal can be anywhere - mining sites, salvage zones, even dropped by enemies you encounter in the field. Keep your eyes open.

She returns to her work.

Sometimes the most important discoveries happen by accident.

She pulls out a small journal, its pages covered in technical diagrams and strangely looking script.

People have been finding scattered pages across the region for years. Notes, diagrams, calculations - all referencing CELLs. They're fragments from what I believe is a pre-war research journal.

I think there's still a complete journal out there somewhere. Or at least more substantial pieces of it.

She gestures vaguely toward the wasteland beyond.

It could be anywhere - buried in mining sites, tucked in salvage piles, maybe even carried by scavengers who didn't know what they had.

I've got others out there looking already. Doesn't mean you can't be the one who gets lucky.

Do whatever you normally do - mine, scavenge, hunt. Eventually, you might stumble across it. If you do, bring it to me?

She pauses.

I'll pay for it. And if it leads us to more CELLs... well, you'd get a finder's fee for anything we recover.
