1. Entry 1

   Textile disposal consistent with retail liquidation or municipal donation overflow. Synthetic fibers persist; natural fibers have largely returned to soil. Institute samplers note that recovered garments occasionally retain manufacturer tags legible enough for regional production tracing.

2. Entry 2

   Traders working clothing piles favor the ones near the highway exits - chain-store stock, uniform sizing, easy to grade. The piles near old neighborhoods are slower work but pay better. A coat someone actually wore is worth more than ten that never left the rack.

3. Entry 3

   A child's jacket recovered from a pile near Bluff still had a folded note in the inner pocket. The note instructed the wearer to stay where they were and not to be afraid. The jacket showed no signs of weather damage, despite forty years of exposure.
