   Traders pay double for any glassware with a serial etch still readable. Calibrated instruments sell faster than weapons in Prosperity. Veteran scavengers can identify a stockpile's parent institution by the labeling tape alone - color-coded systems that haven't been standardized since the war.

3. Entry 3

   A sealed centrifuge pulled from a stockpile near Aneth contained a sample tube that had survived intact. The contents were still liquid. The label, handwritten and legible, identified the sample by a catalog number from an Institute archive that did not yet exist at the time of the war.
