Field biologists document an unfamiliar chemical compound in their saliva. Mildly corrosive, with properties matching no known venom. Wounds from their bites scar in unusual geometric patterns that take months to fade.
- Registro 2
Traders on the southern routes say the rats won't cross certain dry riverbeds: an invisible line they refuse to pass. The traders started using those same paths. Safer that way.
- Registro 3
There's an old wastelander superstition: if the rats circle your camp at dusk but don't attack, something worse is coming by morning. No one can explain why, but experienced scavengers pack up and leave when it happens.
