   Mixed surface accumulation of weathered wood, stone, and dried plant matter, deposited by wind, flood runoff, and decades of slow erosion. Institute field surveys treat these scatter patterns as low-priority reclamation but note their value as indicators of seasonal water movement and prevailing storm direction.

2. Registro 2

   Debris piles are the first work a new arrival is given and the last thing a trader will buy. The yield is wood and stone, nothing more, and everyone in the wasteland already has both. Settlers say the value isn't in the pile - it's in learning to walk the desert with your eyes down.

3. Registro 3

   A patrol north of Aneth documented a stretch of debris arranged in parallel lines roughly three meters apart, extending for nearly half a kilometer across open desert. The wood was weathered to identical grey, the spacing was consistent, and no settlement record describes anyone laying it down. The lines pointed toward the Scar.
