Estimate with the game's fight rules: 2d10 plus accuracy against a defense of 6 plus armor modifiers; a critical hit (two tens or 10 over the defense) deals ×1.5; damage minus the armor for that damage type, at least 1 per hit; base health 60; a turn every 10 s. Natural defense, skill bonuses, range and terrain are left out.

Codex entry

  1. Entry 1

Dissection shows the body is not one animal but dozens of fused bats sharing vasculature, muscle, and sections of nervous tissue. Mineral-laced wing membranes accumulate strong triboelectric charge; discharge paths converge around the eyes and exposed teeth.

  2. Entry 2

Ranchers say Thunderheads arrive before the weather does. First the livestock crowd under roofs, then every loose hair stands up, then the bats come over the mesa in one black knot. The thunder usually follows.

  3. Entry 3

Institute weather stations recorded Thunderheads circling beneath clear skies while local electric fields climbed beyond storm values. Eleven minutes later the Scar brightened. No clouds formed, but every carcass recovered afterward carried fresh lightning burns.
